copies in naarm now! zenana… means “of the women” or “pertaining to women” in farsi. the single, witches, was originally recorded by pioneering female trio zenana at sawmills studios, golant, cornwall in 1986 and remastered in 2022. original 8-track recordings of when the comet comes (1984), the final winter (1985) and the touch of a woman (1985) were made at early home recording and synthesizer pioneer, mike tedder’s home in nanpean, cornwall. digital copies were remixed and remastered by dave blackburn with mike tedder and his sister, zenana founder, anita gabrielle in 2022 at beat ’n track recording in fallbrook, california. the vinyl ep contains an 8 page colour booklet with the story of the band.
